Got a feeling I've been here before Watching as you cross the killing floor You know you'll have to pay it all You'll pay today or pay tomorrow You fasten up your beaded gown Then you try to tie me down Do you work it out one by one Or played in combination You throw out your gold teeth Do you see how they roll I have seen your iron and your brass Can't you see it shine behind the glass Your.
  3. A personal favorite of mine. The record has a misty airiness to it. Porcaro's drum work is impressive, especially considering his age then and the use of certain guitarists for solos once again shows their pursuit of sound, noting especially Becker's solo on Bad Sneakers, one of the best of Steely Dan's and why Steely Dan isn't just Fagen plus a bunch of session mucisians.
  4. Most of the stuff on here sounds uninspired. Bad Sneakers, Doctor Wu, Your Gold Teeth II, and Throw Back The Little Ones are good enough tracks, but the whole affair feels too mild to leave an impact. It certainly is a Dan album, in the most derivative and stereotypical way possible.

  8. "Your Gold Teeth II", the album's best track, is a perfect storm of Denny Dias's guitar, the precise drum work of 21 year old Jeff Porcaro (Toto), and a driving piano line that channels Vince Guaraldi.
